UNITS COVERED UNDER WARRANTY

In order for us to initiate any warranty repairs, the following must be present with the unit when checking unit(s) in:

  • The original bill of sale or a legible copy
  • Manufacturer-initiated RA#

Any repairs, parts or additional labor costs not covered by the manufacturer are the sole responsibility of the owner for payment in lieu of services rendered.  These will be discussed when the unit is dropped off.  In essence, most manufacturers cover tubes for 90 days.  Most manufacturers cover amplifiers from one to five years.  There will also be overlapping labor fees for diagnostics pertaining to parts that are out of warranty.   If you choose to ship a warranty repair to me, I would recommend you initiate a work order with me that will require your signature, as I will not address equipment in question until you comply. Most manufacturers cover the majority of their equipment, but there are pro-rated items that will not be covered.  For example, no one covers burnt or blown speakers: no one covers open fuses after 30 days, etc.  Please call the manufacturer BEFORE you call me to find out all the details, as I, like you, have to look up the current warranty guidelines.  Thank you!

All equipment dropped off for warranty repairs that cannot be verified with a factory defect will be charged a minimum fee. (THIS IS WHY I NEED MY WORK ORDER SIGNED BEFORE INITIATING SERVICE REQUESTS)

Art's Audio provides Warranty services for the following guitar amplifier manufacturers.  Many of these manufacturers have multiple lines -- we will be adding them to our list or you can check their primary website.

      UNITS OUT OF WARRANTY

      An initial analysis/diagnostic fee at check in is $60.00 per unit  (CASH or PAYPAL ONLY) -- this covers diagnosis and recommendation for repair.  This fee IS NOT REFUNDABLE as it covers the cost of services rendered.   The initial analysis/diagnostic fee may, however, be applied towards any authorized repairs.  We will not follow through with any repairs without customer authorization unless prior authorization is initiated.  We may, however, perform partial repairs for diagnostic purposes. 

      CUSTOMER SUPPLIED PARTS

      I will be glad to work with your supplied speakers and/or cabinets.

      Effective immediately, I will no longer use any electronic parts that customers want to supply me (yes...that includes tubes).  Knowing the origin of the parts used for repairs strengthens my reputation as a component level tech.

      We are an authorized accessory dealer for Mesa Boogie, Peavey, and Mercury Magnetic transformers.
